"Toys for Tots" has been the U.S. Marine Corps' premier community action program and one of the nation's flagship Christmas charitable causes for 51 years. Toys for Tots is a success because it is much more than just the collection and distribution of toys. It's about children, caring and giving. It's about sending a message of hope to children. It's about motivating youngsters to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders. It's about making a difference. It's about having a positive impact on lives and communities. And.... |

The U.S. Marine Corps provides nearly 250 Toys for Tots centers nationwide. U. S. Territories Washington, DC You can drop off new unwrapped toys at any one of the Toys for Tots Coordinators nationwide.

Doctor Toy is very appreciative of the fine efforts by members of the US Marine Corps to children in communities everywhere. Their heroic efforts make the holiday season bright for so many needy children. The Marine Toys for Tots members can count on all of us with increased donations this year. Dr. Toy began her support of this important program in 1985 with posters, barrels, and collections of toys at the San Francisco International Toy Museum. She will donate toys from the "Best Products Programs" again this year. If anyone needs suggestions as to what to donate take a look at Dr. Toy's selections from among the "Best Products" for 1999. Let these companies know that you are purchasing their products to provide them to children as part of the Toys for Tots program. Our hats off and hearts open to the invitation of US Marines to give to children and to make their lives happier. This is a "gift that keeps on giving" for years to come. WASHINGTON (Oct. 19) -- The 52nd annual U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Campaign is underway. From now through December, U. S. Marines, with the support of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, the Marine Corps League, and an array of other organizations, groups, committees, local businesses, and national corporations, will work tirelessly to collect new, unwrapped toys for needy children. Last year, the Marines collected and distributed more than 11,200,000 toys, bringing holiday joy and a message of hope to more than 4,800,000. These results made the 1998 Toys for Tots campaign the most successful in the history of the program. This year's goal is to surpass last year's figures in both the number of toys collected and the number of needy children reached. Everyone can help the Marines achieve their goal by dropping off a new, unwrapped toy at a Toys for Tots collection box nearest you. The Marines will do the rest |
