Many high quality projects are available from Curiosity Kits. This one is a lasting one that has innovative aspects. Children first sand, paint and assemble precut wooden pieces. Kids then explore the art of collage as they use the translucent waxed tissue papers to design 8 removable lantern patterns. Included in the kit are sandpaper, tissue, a light bulb, a light fixture and cord. The project can be done by the child under adult supervision. This is a series of wonderful projects that allow the child to learn something of history, culture, or science.
