DC SUPER-HERO TOYS
I'm looking for pictures of molded super-heroes and villains from the late 1960's. They included Superman, Batman, Robin, Joker, and Penguin. They were only a couple of inches in height (like the old green army men). The good guys were fully-colored with removable capes. I believe these were made by Ideal. I have not seen these since I was a little boy, and would like to see pictures of them again.

DEVELOPMENTALLY DELAYED CHILDREN'S TOYS
Are there any sources for toys for developmentally delayed children? My young grandson has a neurological condition called Delayed Myelin which has caused general development delays. DOLL - AMPUTEE
This may seem like an odd question, but in a few postings on various newsgroups, the idea of amputee dolls was mentioned. I know there are such things as a Cabbage Patch doll with crutches and leg braces, and a Barbie doll in a wheelchair (which I understand is enormously popular), but I wonder: if someone marketed an amputee fashion doll, i.e., with a prosthetic hook on one arm. Would enough therapists and doctors be interested in them to justify a production run? It would be somewhat helpful to an amputee child's self-image to have a doll that child's self- image to have a doll that is not meant to look freakish, but very much the reverse. Am I on to something here? Please let me know.

DOLL - ANIMAL FIGURINES
I am having trouble remembering the name of a toy line from the 1980's. They were little anthropomorphic animal figurines/dolls with moveable arms and legs and heads. My daughter has a baby doll she loves and she is falling apart. I would like to find another one. She is made just like My Very Soft Baby by Playskool. I know that she is not made by them. Only I don't know who she is made by. My Mom bought her somewhere in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is about nine inches tall, her body is made of soft terrycloth. Her body is light pink, her hands are skin tone, the bottom of her feet are white, her hat or bonnet is white with flowers on it. That is all sewn together and attached to a plastic face. DOLL - GIRL MOTORCYCLIST
I had a girl motorcyclist toy in the early to mid 1970's. She had a ramp that her motorcycle was placed on. It had a "pump" on top of it. After you pumped it, you pressed the release lever, and she sped off. It came with a paper measuring tape. I thought her name was Debbie Lyler, but I can not find any toy by that name. This doll was marketed, I believe, in the 1960's as Hedda Get Bedda. It was about twelve inches to fifteen inches tall and had three faces. In order for this doll to have a certain face, you would turn the knob on top of her head. Where can I find one today?

I just found a 1974 Ideal Doll. She is about 18 inches high and has reversible hair. She can be blond or brunette if you spin her scalp around! Any idea who she might be? I have twelve dolls from Disney's It's A Small World, each one a different nationality, made by Spellman/Lipson in 1968. They are approximately seven inches tall. Each is in its original box and clear wrapping. Some of the boxes are a little battered and a couple of them have torn plastic shrink-wrap, but the dolls are in great shape. My favorite toy was a Jumpsy Doll. She could jump rope and not fall. I got her around 1971-1973. The most horrible thing happened to her; she was burned up in a fire. My sister and I were playing house under a white sheet tent. We went inside to eat lunch, and when we returned, the sheets were engulfed in fire; my Jumpsy doll was inside the tent. DOLL - MECHANICAL
I have a doll made by Playmates Toys, Inc. in 1986-1987. She stands 33 inches tall has blonde hair and is mechanical. She runs on batteries and comes with a tape labeled Jill. When you insert the tape into her back, she talks, and her head, arms, and eyes move. She asks questions and responds to voices. The tapes and clothes were sold together in packs: there was a nurse's set and a trip to the mall, amongst others. Where can I find the rest of her tapes and clothing?

I have a mechanical doll, circa 1900,with a bellow for the torso. It has a tin head. I have consulted with many experts, but have not been able to positively identify it. I bought a newborn baby doll around 1995. It was heavy with thick skin, possibly rubber. It weighed about five pounds. It was hairless, or the hair was molded on the head. I am hoping to find information on a doll I own. My Grandma, who received the doll from my Grandpa's aunt when she passed away, gave her to me. She has a soft head (possibly vinyl). Her body is made of cloth, but her arms and legs are vinyl or plastic. She also has a voice box that makes her cry when patted on the back. Her clothes are made from what looks like a flour sack, with a robe around her shirt and shorts. She is wrapped in a pink blanket. The only mark is on the back of her head; it is R & B.

DONATION OF TOYS FOR SICK CHILDREN
My husband is the Chaplain at a county. He is planning a program with toys to be given to sick children to ease their fears. There will be themes to this program. Examples include: Bears of Prayer and Heather the Heavenly Hedgehog. What companies might help?

DONATIONS
I am a senior at Seton Hall Preparatory School in West Orange New Jersey. Our school has become involved with the Tomorrow's Children's Fund, a program that helps kids plagued with terminal cancer. Our school is involved in every activity that they sponsor. Every December they hold a breakfast with Santa. For the last three years our school has coordinated this event. Food is provided and the kids are kept occupied with games that students help coordinate. Some of our students dress up as elves to entertain the children. The kids get a picture with Santa, but they have never received presents. This year we thought it would be a good idea to hand out small gifts to the children from Santa. We want to hand out toys to these kids, because most of them are dying of cancer, and we don't want them to remember Santa just giving them a candy cane. I want to ask you if you know of any toy companies that are willing to help our cause. I am not asking for free toys; if we need to raise money it would be no problem. What I need are companies that will give us a discount on toys to give to these kids. This is a legitimate cause that will not benefit our school in any way. My task at The Family Tree is to put together a parenting program for the teenage mothers who attend the high school The Family Tree is located in. Downfall was a game for two that I played as a child in the early 1970's. It was made of plastic, and the goal was to move your plastic pieces from the top of the playing surface to the bottom, before the opponent on the backside of the game could do it. FINGER BLASTERS
I am trying to find Finger Blasters. The toy is a foam tube about one inch in diameter and about six inches in length, with fins on the rear. At the tip is attached a rubber band that you hold. In the rear, the tube has a hole to insert your finger into. You pull the "blaster and rubber band" tight, then let go. The last time I saw them was at a summer camp in 1997. I have tried the major toy stores, and they have no clue.

FISH
I don't remember where, but I know I've seen toy fish! I believe they work on magnetics; the fish maintain buoyancy somehow, too. But you put them in an aquarium and you have maintenance-free fish! Any ideas where I might find them? Thanks for your time, Henry.

Where can I buy a flying toy like this: a balloon is blown up, attached to a simple three bladed helicopter; when released, it flies into the air, propelled by the air from the balloon rushing over the three blades. It also whistles as it rises.

I received a catalog in the mail with a picture on the cover of a child sitting on a large forklift riding toy which had a hand powered crank to move the fork part up and down. It looked like it was made of the same type of plastic as a Little Tykes or Step 2 toy. I'm hoping someone knows where to order this.
